Springtime

                                              Springtime

Springtime is my favorite time of the year, everything is fresh, pretty green, flowers blooming, birds chirping, and squirrels playing (grrrr) The wind blows in your face and makes you feel all brand new again. It is time to evaluate all the damage the freezing winter has done to the flowers and plants. I believe my orange trees are a past thing for me, since two years in a row they got hit pretty hard with the freeze. My huge grapefruit tree got frozen back last winter, and all I have left is a bush, so I am thinking "It Is What It Is" (an inside joke).
My flowering bushes already have blossoms on them, and are looking beautiful. The grass is starting to turn green, and grow. This is my time of the year.

                                            Summertime in Florida

This isn't my favorite time of the year, It gets very hot and hardly ever rains,  there are these crappy bugs that bite, up north they are called Deer flies, in FLORIDA they are called yellow flies, and they bite and make the worst itching ever, swelling, sometimes even requires a Doctors visit for allergy medicine. Now the flowers and especially the roses are wonderful, my Peachtree starts blooming in early spring and the peaches are all ripe now. They are and were very juicy and tasty. The Wood Pecker is now in charge of the remaining fruit. We have a pair of Bluebirds nesting in the little house, I sure hope the cats leave them alone. They are very aggressive with anything that gets close, they do a lot of dive-bombing at anything that gets close to their area.
